WHEREAS the President's Advisory Council on the Arts was established by Executive Order No. 11112 of June 12, 1963; and WHEREAS the National Council on the Arts was established by the Act of September 3, 1964 (P.L. 88-579) thereby obviating the need for the Council established by the President:

by virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States, the following-described Executive orders are hereby revoked: (1) Executive Order No. 11112 of June 12, 1963, entitled "Establishing the President's Advisory Council on the Arte."
