By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States and as Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the United States, and in accordance with section 8 of the Act of December 16, 1967, Public Law 90-207 (81 Stat. 654), the rates of monthly basic pay for members of the uniformed services within each pay grade are, effective on July 1, 1968, adjusted upwards as set forth in the following tables: LYNDON B.
