By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States of America by the Constitution and laws of the United States, including the Federal Advisory Committee Act (5 U.S.C. App. I), and section 301 of title 3 of the United States Code, it is hereby ordered as follows: SECTION 1. The National Commission for Industrial Peace is hereby abolished and Executive Order No. 11710 of April 4, 1973, and Executive Order No. 11729 of July 12, 1973, are hereby revoked. SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Treasury shall be responsible for closing the affairs of the Commission, and for the completion of any functions that remain to be performed under the Federal Advisory Committee Act with respect to the Commission and its report. In preparing the report required by section 6(b) of that Act, the Secretary shall consult with the Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. GERALD R.
