Miss Ellen T. Purcell and Miss J. Elizabeth Williams may be appointed to classified positions in the Department of Labor without regard to the requirements of the civil-service rules. These young ladies have for some time been employed in the Office of the Secretary of Labor and have performed their duties in an excellent and efficient manner. This order is issued upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Labor. HERBERT HOOVER The White House, March 2, 1933.
