By virtue of the authority vested in me under the provisions of section 179 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (5 U.S.C., sec. 6), I hereby authorize and direct Willis R. Gregg, Chief of the Weather Bureau of the Department of Agriculture, to perform the duties of Secretary of Agriculture during the absence of the Secretary of Agriculture and the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture.
